ACT OF KINDNESS #41: This story is to good to repeat in any other way than the one that was told to me. This is a report directly from N.B...enjoy...
"Started at 9:15 am to pick up my mother's dear friend, "A". When I picked her up for doc appt. which incl. lab work, then waiting an hour for her actual visit w/doc which took another hour and as usual, I wrote everything up in her med notebook that I got for her to avoid any confusion. Then I drove her to the opposite end of town so she could go to her favorite jeweler for a ring repair. Finally, she was obsessed with taking advantage of a Kohl's sale on bras so she gave me the exact info on the size/style and I proceeded to call both east & west side stores and waited the usual long time for clerks to check on availability. I brought her back home in the meantime per her request, went to my piano lesson, and then took off to west side store where they were holding what she requested, bought them and drove back to east side to deliver them to her apartment. Of course as you may expect, she goofed on the bra info so we started the process all over again (after I asked her to hoist up her top and let me see for myself the actual and exact details of what she was trying to replicate); I drove back to west side Kohl's, made the returns and searched for correct replacements but of course they were out of stock so with the help of a great clerk, we searched online, found what she wanted and placed the order and hopefully they will be shipped directly to her. By this time (because everything takes alot of time and no one needs to be rushed -- walker in & out of car many times, etc.) it was 5 pm. "A" is always extremely grateful and fun to be with throughout the whole process. And besides, she was wearing one of Mom's tops today and at random moments she talked about how much she loved Mom and that she was like her own sister and how much she missed her so I say I got several sweet "gifts" from "A" today -- I was actually the one "receiving" ..........!"
