Just an idea...

There are many small things we can do in our daily lives that make other people’s lives easier. An example of this is to serve those who serve us.
Instead of leaving your shopping cart in the middle of the parking lot when you're at the grocery store, make someone's job easier by returning it to where it belongs. It is a small act that doesn’t take a lot of thought or energy, but your consideration and respect will be greatly appreciated!

Birthday Cakes...A MUST!!

My grandma, C.H., was in the grocery store this week and noticed a nice looking man checking out  the birthday cakes. She told us that he picked up several and examined the tags. He was there for some time but in the end he walked away without taking one.  The man proceeded to check out his small cart of groceries and then we got a very kind surprise.  C.H. approached him and handed him some cash and kindly told him that she wanted to treat for that birthday cake he was looking at.  He was so pleased and grateful that he went back and grabbed it.  Cheers for Grandma and Happy Happy Birthday to the lucky person who now gets to celebrate with a big old piece of cake!!!

Act of Kindness #47

OH NO!!

ACT OF KINDNESS #46: A group of us were relaxing at the beach this weekend and we noticed a poor guy chasing after his air mattress. The wind had blown the mattress very quickly across the swim area and into the dreaded "muck".  The man bravely walked through the "muck" but couldn't move fast enough through the sludge to catch the mattress.  We just couldn't watch the struggle anymore..we took the boat to rescue the mattress and returned it to the man.  The cool thing about all of this was that no one in our boat mentioned that this should be done as an act of kindness..but my 5 year old casually said, "hey we just did a nice thing..this is an act of kindness mom"
