Thankful!!!!

My wonderful grandmother shared a story with me that I am excited to share with all of you.  On this year's cold Thanksgiving day, she was driving in town and saw a man walking on the sidewalk with only a worn down hooded sweatshirt.  She tells me that he was carrying a very large bag and appeared to be fatigued and in need of help.

She was on her way to our family thanksgiving celebration which always involves a warm house, lots of food, and great company.  She decided that she needed to turn around and offer a small gift of hope to this stranger.  She safely pulled up near this gentleman and offered him a small monetary gift.  He gratefully took it and was very thankful to her for her kindness!

She said she hoped this man was able to buy a warm meal but regardless of how he spent the money she felt the small gift was a way for her to show her appreciaton for the many blessings in her life!!

Spreading the Christmas Cheer

Act of Kindness #59: MM, KM, and EM have chosen to sponsor a little person that needs some extra love at Christmas time.  The family bought some warm Scooby Doo Fleece pajamas in little people size, along with some warm socks to match.  In addition, some games and toys found their way into the shopping cart.  I am positive that their deed will make a merrier holiday season for this little buddy.
